On one of my latest YouTube Videos, I show you how to make a kid-friendly floral crown. We use this method a lot for our kids parties with Send in the Clowns. For adult floral crowns, we use a variety of methods from using paddle wire to twine. For kids, we want to make it as easy and safe as possible.  I like to use a mix of real and fake flowers that the kids can choose from. Sometimes they mix and match. Kids will naturally call the fake flowers "everlasting" crowns, which is true!  I like this grapevine wire that doesn't need to be concealed and is easy to use. Simply measure the head and cut the piece a few inches longer.  We use pipe-cleaners to attach the flowers to the grapevine wire. Pre-cut the pipecleaners about 6-8'' long and have the kids pick out the color flowers and pipecleaners they want to use. They can assist with constructing the crown. Super fun, creative, and happy!
