For a bolder variation on this recipe, switch out the white mini calla lilies and freesia for a single bunch each of orange spray roses and solidaster, then add a stem of red anthurium.

I use alstroemeria as the filler flower, which lasts about 2 weeks. The tulips and irises wilt faster, but changing the water frequently will increase their longevity. This arrangement actually looks better over time, as the flowers bloom, open up, and lift up and outward.
