I started out in (very) late 2009 doing daily orders from my apartment in El Segundo. I was in the mecca of corporate headquarters-- Mattel, Direct TV, and Raytheon, all in the area, started to order from me. After getting into weddings and corporate events we stopped doing our daily orders. For years after I would still get calls from past customers asking for a delivery. That was such a good feeling! Now in 2015, I'm so happy to announce that Flour LA has started up our daily orders again, now referred to as Flour LA Everyday. This time I got to do things a bit different. (continue on) Debra Prinzing, who helms the Slow Flowers movement, really had an impact on my role in the floral industry, our economy, and doing the right thing one small step at a time.
I made a commitment to myself and the Flour LA brand that for our daily orders we'll use only American-Grown flowers. That eliminates some super fun blooms like protea, but there's so many that grow in California, there's no reason not to be committed to that. Of course, for our special events and corporate clients, we'll still have those orders that require importing exotic blooms, but that's a compromise I'm okay with. To compliment our signature Flour LA structured aestetic, I wanted an irresistable add-on that would make me happy if I were to get a bouquet. I settled on instant coffee. But not just any. This instant coffee is organic and Fair Trade. That means it's harvested in an eco-friendly way and farmers are paid a fair wage. Another win-win. To order a bouquet, visit us here at Flour LA Everyday! Comments are closed.
